Here at MyHoliday2, we take pride in making a positive impact wherever we travel. As part of our commitment to responsible tourism, we work closely with local partners and family-run businesses, and we run a ‘Give Back’ initiative that supports organisations in the destinations we visit.
On 22nd July 2025, the MyHoliday2 team members Denie and Cheryl visited the SOS Children’s Village in Hanoi, Vietnam. This incredible organisation provides a safe and nurturing environment for orphans, abandoned children, and those facing difficult circumstances. It’s a place where children find stability, care, and hope — a home where they can grow, learn, and thrive.
That morning, Denie and Cheryl visited a local grocery store to personally shop for essential supplies. They purchased items such as milk, Milo, biscuits, noodles, and stationery supplies like pens, pencils, notebooks, and paper, — practical items that go a long way in supporting the daily needs and education of the children.
The donations were then delivered to the Village, where they met with staff and learnt more about the incredible work being done to create a safe and nurturing environment for the children.

SOS Children’s Villages is a global organisation dedicated to supporting children without parental care or at risk of losing it. The organisation operates in over 130 countries and territories worldwide, including Vietnam. Their mission is to ensure that every child grows with love, security, and respect (so).
In Hanoi, the SOS Children’s Village provides family-like care where children grow up in a nurturing environment, receive access to education and healthcare, and are empowered to build a brighter future. The organisation focuses on long-term development, helping children not only survive but thrive—emotionally, socially, and academically.
Thanks to our amazing customers, your bookings with MyHoliday2 help us support initiatives like this. Every trip you take contributes to our ability to give back to the communities we visit.
