Declared a wildlife reserve in 1984, Tabin Wildlife Reserve is home to several endangered species including the Borneo Pygmy Elephant, Tembadau, and over 300 species of birds. The reserve is also recognised as an Important Bird Area (IBA: MY027) and is managed by the Sabah Wildlife Department (fauna) and Sabah Forestry Department (flora).
At Tabin Wildlife Resort, we proudly uphold sustainable tourism principles. We limit group sizes to five guests per guideto reduce environmental impact and ensure personal experiences. Since opening in 2004, we have supported education, conservation awareness, and protection of this vital ecosystem.
